Race Training – Saturdays and Tuesday Evenings

Weekend Race Training

Spins will start on Saturday 12th January at 10am.

These spins will leave Kilmacanogue just before the leisure spin, they will follow some of the same route as the leisure spin and will run in a controlled manner with an average speed of 28–30kph.

The training spins are recommended for all members who are planning on taking part in open racing or who already compete in club racing in groups 5 to 8.

The training spins are not limited and if you want to up your game and improve your cycling you are very welcome.

Brendan Buck will lead the race training spin this week.

Tuesday Night Race Training

Starting 15th January.

Meeting at Kilmacanogue roundabout at 7.20pm for a 7.30pm start.

These training sessions are recommended for members who plan to ride club races or open races.

All club members 14 years old and over are welcome.

Due to the dangers associated with cycling at night:

ALL riders must wear a reflective jacket/vest, and appropriate clothing for night training in winter.

ALL bikes must have a working front and rear light.

ALL participants must be a current member of Bray Wheelers and hold a current Cycling Ireland license.

Cycling Ireland licenses (or proof thereof) will have to be produced, no license, no training, no exceptions.

Training groups will be formed to suit riders ability from beginner to the more experienced and everybody is guaranteed to improve their cycling performance over the next 12 weeks.
