Proposed route for Saturdays 9.15am spin July 21st.
Some people had asked about “Brown Mountain” last week so be careful what you wish for....
- Kilmac – Cullenmore (complete sign on) – Glenealy – Rathdrum.
- at top of Rathdrum roll on to GAA grounds on the right to regroup don’t stop at funeral home.
- drop into Ballinaclash over the bridge and turn right for Greenane and on to Glenmalure valley.
- bottle refill at Glenmalure Inn or hostel, I am sure one of them will oblige if required.
- left at cross roads and up Slieve Mann from “easy” side and wait at top to regroup.
- we will be taking a left turn to join Brown Mountain (Croaghanmoira mtn) at the bottom of Slieve Mann on the fastest part of the descent. If you do not know where this turn is do not ride ahead of the group leader.
- left as noted the bear left at next Y and ride Brown Mountain, wait at top to regroup, top is a plateau so pick somewhere safe.
- drop down and wait at cross roads, left and drop down by the Maze and into Greenane, bear right over the bridge and follow main road to r.drum. Wait at top of hill before descent to r.drum to regroup.
- drop into r.drum, left and then next right and join main road (caution) on through Glenealy and coffee in Mont Usher.
