Paddy O’Rourke RIP

Categories: News

It is with great sadness that we hear of the death of Paddy O’Rourke.

Paddy passed away yesterday, on the 4th April 2020. Paddy was a Life Member of Bray Wheelers C.C. and a dedicated club man. Many of you will remember Paddy from ‘his’ corner on club races over the years. He marshalled this corner religiously throughout the club racing season. Paddy was always first to put his name down to volunteer to help with any club activity. Paddy was a competitive cyclist, as a younger man. Many of you will have heard his colourful tales of his racing exploits. He will be sadly missed by all of us at Bray Wheelers C.C. RIP Paddy. Due to the current restrictions there will not be an open funeral service. When things return to normal there will be a memorial service for Paddy. We will let club members and friends know when this is planned.
