The new race season got underway last week despite the inclement weather and continued this week in stormy conditions on Sunday.

During the week, taking advantage of the mid-term break Ger Ivory held a track day in Sundrive Velodrome. There was a large attendance at this event and some really good training was done by all involved. Thanks to Ger Ivory for his expert coaching. Later that evening there was a fun interactive coaching evening in the clubhouse. This covered race tactics and teamwork in race situations. Thanks to Mark Loughran and Mark Murphy for this. There was a good turnout for this and the earlier track training.

Beginners spins resumed on Saturday led by Eamonn Kearns. There was a good turnout for the spin on Saturday. These spins will take place for the next few weeks, leaving the Townhall in Bray at 9.30 on Saturdays. Full details can be found on the website http://www.braywheelers.com. The distance will be an easy 40 – 50 km.

Sunday there was a youth spin in Shanganagh Park with a road spin for the older youths and an offroad spin for the younger children.

Tuesday night training continues this Tuesday night at 7.30 from Kilmac.
