Autumn is the time of year for hill climbs and last week saw the Vets hillclimb championships on the Long Hill which was won by Mark Murphy and this week the National hillclimb Championships took place in Tralee. The annual treasure hunt was also held on Sunday.
Mark Murphy won last weeks Vets Hillclimb Championships on the Long Hill. This week the Hillclimb spotlight moved to County Kerry for the National Championships. Representing Bray were Claire McEntee in the women’s event and Sam Mc Allister in the junior championships. Both Bray riders did really well on a tough climb, with both taking the Silver medals in their categories.
This week the treasure hunt took riders all around the roads of Wicklow on a testing course and great fun was had by all who took part.
Next weeks youth spin moves to the track on Sunday afternoon at 2pm – all youth riders, and anyone else interested in the track are welcome to attend.
Sam McAllister’s silver national champs medal.
