The Bray Wheelers have been winding up there form for end of season stage races in the coming weeks.

At club level riders and spectators alike witnessed one of the greatest wins of the year at thursday evenings club race. Gillian Martin rode a couragous race from the starting gun going on a solo attack through the head winds of Clary. Gillian stayed away for twenty miles despite the prolonged efforts of the senior riders in the peleton to bridge the time gap.On the run into the finish line spectators anxiously awaited the sight of the leader,it was Gillian with Brian Harris, Derek Cunningham and Declan Kinch on her wheel. Looking to her reserves for the sprint Gillian croossed the line hands reaching for the clouds victorious.

Further a field at open races Urban Monks is looking like Brays latest star.He acheived three consistent placings in the summer festival three day event earning him the yellow jersey as first overall junior rider. This will give Urban plenty of confidence for the Junior Tour where he will compete as a guest rider for a Dublin based club as Bray wont be entering a team this year due to a shortage in Junior members.

After three days of mid week racing The Wheelers entered Sundays one day race in Robinstown. Declan Crean making a come back in open races placed third in the C category in Robinstown with Paddy Kelly taking first unplaced B in Batterstown and placed third in the B category in Robinstown.
